Black Jack Development

[ English ]

Blackjack absolutely is one of the more popular games gambled on in betting houses. Black jack is also referred to as "twenty one" or Chemin de Fer. The game is a combination of chance and ability combined with decision-making. The card game has evolved over a set amount of time. Players have specialized in certain abilities like "card counting," with which they shift the edge in the game in the players direction. The game has been in existence since the 18th century. References can be located in historical documents to a card game known as "vingt-et-un," which means twenty one in French, and is deemed as the ancestor to blackjack.

The game was at first not so popular in the US. This caused the betting houses trying different features like offering a bonus like a 10-to-1 pay out, if the player had an ace of spades and a black jack. The jack could be either the jack of spades or clubs. Once the game got popular, the bonus pay out quickly disappeared from the game.

Any hand which reaches a total of twenty-one is deemed a winner. The value can not exceed 21, if it does the hand is said to be "bust." The goal of every player is to beat the casino. If the black jack player and the dealer both have the identical hand value, it’s called "push" (a tie), with not either the blackjack player or the dealer winning the hand.
